Welcome to my special travelly journal! Woohoo!
This is where I will document (in some inarticulate way or another) my travels in New Zealand, including the little bit beforehand on the plane and in Hong Kong. I leave on September the 11th (I know, I know), I know not when I shall return...

The name 'manuhiri' is one I found on the wonderous interweb - it means 'visitor' in Maori, and so seemed rather appropriate. I am fully expecting to discover, half way through my trip, that it is an offensive and disparaging term for silly British people who like to take pictures of hills.
